The choir consists mostly of alumni of Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð (Hamrahlid College) in Iceland who were formerly members of Hamrahlid College's choir. The choir has traveled extensively and toured dozens of countries in Europe, North America and Asia, as well as Israel. Recent ventures include Estonia (2004), Canada (2005) and the 2006 Europa Cantat festival in Mainz, Germany. The choir has also made a career in Iceland by singing big pieces by composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky with the distinguished Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. The choir was awarded ''Icelandic classical performer of the year'' award in the year 2002 and has released several CDs and gramophone records. ==Discography==
